Adopt Me! is primarily a social roleplay and trading experience. This means that when playing the game without restriction, your child will encounter other users of all different ages and play styles. Sadly, in every social game, bad actors will pop up to spoil the fun for others. Uplift Games and Roblox take all reasonable precautions and actions in our realm of capability against such players.
On Roblox, Adopt Me is age rated per their standards as suitable for all ages. However, as a social game, we highly encourage players under 13 to play with restricted access and/or parental supervision.
Due to the large player count active within the game at any one time, sadly, the servers do not benefit from live moderation from the Uplift Games team itself. Adopt Me relies on reactive moderation, where players can flag inappropriate behaviour using features like trade reporting or creating a report with our Support team.
We do not have a form of auto-moderation within the game, and each report is reviewed and actioned on by hand.
Thankfully, Adopt Me! benefits from being on the Roblox platform, as we can rely on Roblox Moderation systems to act on unsavoury characters.
To avoid unwanted interactions and to enjoy Adopt Me for its core gameplay, we recommend changing your child’s Roblox and Adopt Me settings in a manner that will limit who they can talk to and who can join them. Rather than joining Public Servers, you can create a Private Server for your child to play in to keep out the riff-raff.
We pride ourselves on having a close-knit community that demonstrates polite, friendly values and closely follows our community guidelines. In most public servers, our well-behaved user base will positively interact with your child. The social aspect of the game is an integral gameplay mechanic and helps players learn the fundamentals of pet collecting and progress on their trading. Due to this, your child can be safe under your watchful eyes as they navigate Adopt Me in a social environment.
