So you've gotten your first pet in Adopt Me and have some questions about raising them. Well this is the article for you!
In this article, we are going to cover the basics of pet raising.
What is pet raising?
Raising a pet is the act of completing needs for your pet to help them grow through the stages of development. Every time you complete a need, your pet will gain some experience, and with enough experience, they will grow to the next stage.
What are needs?
You will need to complete different needs to take care of your pets. This can be as small as feeding your pet and as large as taking them to school for the day. Each need will give your pet experience and pay out a small amount of bucks once completed. A pet's needs can be seen on the top of your screen.
What are the different needs?
There are several different needs within Adopt Me!
Dirty pets need to be washed. Take them to a shower or bathtub and get them nice and clean!
When your pet is Hungry or Thirsty, give them a food or drink item from your inventory to fill them up! There are lots of sources of food on Adoption Island, so explore and see what you can find.
A Sleepy pet can sleep the night away in pet beds, cribs or sleeping bags. A good night's sleep will give them the energy to play throughout the day!
There are also special needs that only occur for a certain amount of time. These usually involve taking your pet somewhere for a certain amount of time, but will reward more bucks than regular needs.
A Bored pet needs to stretch it's limbs and move around. Take them to the Playground to play with other pets!
A night of Camping under the stars is a very refreshing change of pace. Take your pet to the Campsite and do some stargazing by the fire!
Beach Parties aren't just for summer on Adoption Island! Let's go swimming at the Beach!
Time to Learn! Take your pet to the School to learn something new!
Feeling a bit under the weather? Sick pets should rest at the Hospital. Get well soon!
Pizza Party! Meet with your friends at the Pizza Shop and make sure to save them a slice!
Itching for a new look? Take your pet to the Salon for a cut, trim, or a whole new colour!
How many stages of growth does a pet have?
A pet can go through 6 stages of growth:
- Newborn
- Junior
- Pre-Teen
- Teen
- Post-Teen
- Full Grown
As a neon, a pet can go through 6 additional stages of growth:
- Reborn
- Twinkle
- Sparkle
- Flare
- Sunshine
- Luminous
Once a pet has reached either Full Grown or Luminous, you can still grow your Friendship Level with them. There is no limit on a pet's Friendship Level, so keep interacting with your favorite pets!
How many needs do I have to complete to raise my pet?
The amount of needs your pet needs is based on it's rarity. We have included a handy guide below letting you know how many needs you will need to complete to level up your pet. It even includes how many Age-Up Potions it will take to fully level up a pet from Newborn to Legendary.
