Each item has its unique ID to track the items in the game. If you have hundreds of the same item, that’s hundreds of unique IDs. This means that your game attempts to load these individually, and if there are too many to load, you will start to experience lag. This becomes a problem when players hoard significant amounts of items, such as food, many of which have no value. Due to this, we do not advise stocking up large quantities of items. However, you’ll inevitably want to obtain a large number of items just in case they become valuable.

If you intend to stock up, we advise doing this across multiple accounts (provided the intention is for legitimate trading rather than activity against our guidelines). You can see our stance on alternate accounts here. Nonetheless, there are ways to work around this, and we have assisted countless accounts encountering this problem. If you’ve got 200,000 pizzas or 43,000 seaweed (real-life cases), we’re here to lend a helping paw!

Before contacting us, you should attempt to resolve this yourself first. Here’s what you can try:
  • Get some friends or alternative accounts to help pet sit any common pets you have so you can easily convert them into Neons. Doing this will merge four IDs into one.
  • Eat any food items or feed your pets. It’s a long process, but they can use these items without hunger. You can also join a family and role-play to earn bucks while raising a baby by feeding them.
  • Donate any unwanted items through gifting or the trade system. You can store items on alternate accounts or give them away to players who may want them.
We understand that this can be time-consuming, but it’s best to use what you can, especially during hours when Support isn’t open. However, we realise that when a user has thousands upon thousands of items, it becomes virtually impossible to remove them by yourself, and that’s where our team comes in.

What will we do?
  • Review your account’s save and check to see if this is the cause of the lag.
  • Work with you to see what items are problematic and if we can reduce their ID count.
  • We will request your express consent if we need to remove items.
  • We may also have other options, depending on your circumstances, which we will discuss in your ticket.
You can contact our team here. At this time, we do not have a dedicated queue for this particular issue, so you can contact us through our “Bug Reports” or “I can’t get into Adopt Me queues.” Navigate through the bot questions as best you can, and if there are no relevant questions, choose the closest option to get through to our team. Once you’ve been passed through, provide all other details relating to your issue.

For parents contacting us through parental forms, we will need to confirm a form of ownership or access to the account due to the possibility of removing items. This isn’t an issue through live chat, as users must connect through their Roblox account, but the process for forms is different, and therefore, we need to be certain you are in ownership of the account before removing items. We will not touch an account without this information.

We may ask for:
  • An image of you quoting a phrase we provide, such as your ticket number, on the Chalkboard with your username on display in the lower right corner and your avatar in the screenshot too.
  • An image of your purchase history showing an Adopt Me purchase (if you have this available) and your username in the top corner so we can cross-reference this with your account.
  • An image of the most recent trades that have occurred on the account.
Future Tips:
  • Do not hoard items unless you intend to trade them or have a reasonable belief that they will become valuable. However, be careful, as having a significant number of items can mean that other users have done the same, and as such, they won’t be of any value.
  • If you’re storing food for the purpose of feeding your pet rather than trading, it is best to invest in food bowl furniture, use the food bowls available in the school, or take food from the Hospital or School, as these items leave your inventory when you leave. It’s tedious to travel around to get food to hand in your inventory, but not nearly as tedious as dealing with lag.
  • Store items across multiple accounts while abiding by our Community Guidelines.
