What is a private server?
A private server is an Adopt Me! Server where you are able to play alone or only with friends who are on your friends list or have been approved to join. Within a private server, no random players are able to join.
How much does a private server cost?
Adopt Me! private servers are completely free and have no additional cost to create or use.
How many private servers can I have?
Private servers within Adopt Me! are limited to 1 private server per Roblox account. Once you have made a private server, you will lose the option to create another one. If you already have a private server, you will see the message "You have created the maximum number of free private servers for this experience." below the "Create Private Server" button.
How do I create a private server?
To create a private server, follow the steps below:
- Visit the Adopt Me! game page.
- Select the "Servers" tab.
- Select the "Create Private Server" button in the top left corner.
- Enter the details on the next screen, which will include your server name and the rules of joining said server.
How do I delete a private server?
While there is no way to delete a private server at this time, you can disable it. To disable a private server, follow the steps below:
- Visit the Adopt Me! game page.
- Select the "Servers" tab.
- Find your private server in the list (it will usually be the top server).
- Select the three dots next to the server window and select the "Configure" option.
- Set the "Allow Joining" setting to off.
Once you have disabled a private server, no one will be able to join it, including yourself, but it can be re-enabled at any time. Disabling this server will not allow you to make another private server.
Can I kick players out of my private server?
Yes, you can kick players out of a private server by following the steps below:
- Visit the Adopt Me! game page.
- Select the "Servers" tab.
- Find your private server in the list (it will usually be the top server).
- Select the three dots next to the server window and select the "Shut Down This Server" option.
From here, the server will be shut down and all active members within it will be kicked out.
Why can't I join a private server?
If your Roblox account is under the age of 13, it will be restricted to only joining private servers owned by another player on your friend's list or no private servers at all depending on your privacy settings or parental control settings.
