Travelling around Adoption Island on foot can take a lot of work, especially if you're trying to get from one end of the neighbourhood to the other end of town. However, there are quicker ways to navigate and get where you need to be!
Transport
One way to get around Adoption Island is through the various modes of transport available. There are plenty of vehicles within Adopt Me, and you should head down to the Vehicle Dealership to get started by buying a cheap runaround car. You can find your vehicles in your backpack by pressing the car icon.
You can select the vehicle you want to equip and travel around. Vehicles are much faster than walking around on food. The quickest car in the game is the Rocket Sled, so this comes in handy to get to areas even faster. Watch out, though; with its high speed, you need reasonable control of it. The Rocket Sled was previously in the Gifts rotation but can only be obtained through trading now.
Magic Door
The Magic Door is an item available for purchase using Robux or through trading. It can be placed and used to move from anywhere on Adoption Island directly back into your house. This is convenient for quickly moving from the town to your house to fulfil ailments.
Taskboard
During events, the taskboard is handy for quickly teleporting to the area where the event occurs. All you need to do is open the taskboard and press the teleport button when an event is active. Sometimes, a teleport button may not always be available during an event, and a navigate button will be in its place, so you'll need to walk there.
Inventory
In your inventory, there will be a plus icon within each item category, aside from the wing and sticker categories. This icon prompts you to get more of the respective items in that category. By clicking the icon, a pop-up will ask you if you would like to teleport to the designated area. Upon selecting yes, you will be immediately teleported.
From your inventory, you can teleport to:
- Nursery
- Accessory Shop
- Baby Shop
- Supermarket
- Vehicle Dealership
- Toy Shop
- Gift Display
Speed Potions
For swift movement around, you can buy Hyperspeed Potions from the Sky Castle for 40 Bucks. While not as efficient as some of the other options above, you'll notice you'll walk around a lot faster by consuming this potion. This is useful for moving around shorter spans, such as between buildings around the town.
