When joining Adopt Me, you'll be given the option between two roles: Parent and Baby.

These roles are for roleplay purposes and can help you out in different ways.

• By choosing "Baby", your Roblox avatar becomes small or child-like and similarly to pets, babies will receive needs which can be completed to earn bucks. 
• By choosing "Parent", you will be able to look after and pick up other babies and pets, with the ability to earn bucks by doing so. Babies aren't able to carry other babies or pets. 

If you've selected a role when joining the game, and decide later on that you want to switch to the other side, it is possible to do so.

The easiest route is to go into your dress-up menu on the right hand side, which will bring up your avatar and the dress-up selection.

You'll spot at the bottom of the screen a button to switch your role, and clicking on it will change your role to the opposite side. 

The other method of switching your role outside of the dress-up menu is by using the Age-O-Matic. This machine can be found in the Nursery, or as a purchasable piece of furniture in your house.

Upon entry to the Nursery, head right into the Baby section filled with cots and next to Anna you will find the Age-O-Matic Machine.

If you think its a chore to keep travelling to the Nursery and would like the machine available in your home, you can buy it from the furniture shop for 2000 Bucks.

It is the exact same as the Age-O-Matic in the Nursery, but just happens to be in your house instead! 

To use it, walk inside and the role selection menu will appear. You can then change your role through selecting the option that appeals to you in the moment.
